The 5th and last T20I Match of the Sri Lanka tour of Australia, 2022 played today at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. In which Sri Lanka defeated Australia by 5 wickets.

Australia batted first after winning the toss scored 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Australia started the inning very badly, lost 2 wickets just for 12 runs, Aaron Finch dismissed just for 8 runs, and Ben McDermott dismissed just for 3 runs, after that Josh Inglis and Glenn Maxwell came to bat and handled the inning, the third eicket has gone for 55 runs in 9.2 over, Josh Inglis dismissed after scoring 23 runs in 20 balls, next batsman Marcus Stoinis came to bat and played well with Glenn Maxwell, the fouth wicket has gone for 79 runs in 12.2 over, Marcus Stoinis dismissed for 17 runs in 10 balls, followed by Matthew Wade came to bat, after few moments the fifth wicket has also gone for 82 runs in 12.5 over, Glenn Maxwell dismissed after scoring 29 runs in 21 balls, next batsman Daniel Sams came to bat handled the inning and played brilliant half-century plartnership of 64 runs with Matthew Wade, the sixth wicket has gone for 146 runs in 18.5 over, Daniel Sams dismissed for 18 runs in 15 balls, next batsman Ashton Agar came to bat, and he remains unbeaten for 4 runs with Matthew Wade, and Matthew Wade played a brilliant quick unbeaten inning of 43 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 2 boundaries in just 27 balls. In this way, Sri Lanka achived the target in the second inning very easily by losing just 5 wickets in the fifth ball of the final over and won the match by 5 wickets.
