The United States considers the Minsk agreements to be the basis for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass, a State Department spokesman said.
"We continue to support the Minsk agreements as the basis for a diplomatic resolution of the Russia-induced conflict in eastern Ukraine," he said in response to a request to comment on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statements about amending existing agreements.
It is specified that for the Minsk agreements to work, Russia must clearly comply with its commitments, strive to end the conflict in Donbas and "give up its intransigent position.
