Apamate tree [Original photographs]
It is considered the emblem tree of the Cojedes state. It is one of the most beautiful, useful and most cultivated trees of the Venezuelan flora. This tree reaches up to 30 m and has as habitat the deciduous forest.

Tree 6-12m high, with short trunk of grayish bark slightly fissured. Leaves palmate-compound, with 5 elliptic-oblong leaflets, from acute to acuminate. The terminal leaflet of 8-30 cm in length and progressively smaller laterals.
This tree is not very well known, when it is not in its flowering period it is just a green tree with a large trunk, its secret is blooming, to show my photographs.
> Subcoriaceous texture. Terminal panicle of tubular-infundibuliform flowers of lavender pink and sometimes white, 5-10 cm in length. Linear-cylindrical capsule of 20-35 cm in length, with persistent chalice.
