Education in ancient India
######
Today, I want to share here that in this article we will compare different types of institutions through which people were educated in this ancient India. Then there were roughly three different types of institutions that were imparting education to the people of ancient India. In the first example, there was a popular system in which the teacher, as a settled householder, therefore accepted and instructed students of a tender age.
These students usually spend twelve years with their master. During this period, the student lived at the teacher's house and followed many duties as a means of his ethical and spiritual discipline. We also get references to earlier times when a child received education from his father. This was usually done by the teachers on the request of the preacher and students were given rituals.

General duties performed by these students included begging for the teacher, collection of wood for the sacrifice of the fire, the work of the house as well as the care of the cattle. He dedicated the rest of his time to his studies. As they was knew without hiding anything. This education was open to people of all sections of Indo-Aryan stock. But the course of training and subjects was not equal to the students of all castes.
While the Brahmin students were trained specifically to make sacrifices and receive gifts and gifts for others, the Kshatriyas were taught about the protection of their people (the action of attacking or attacking them) or their protection was there. The teacher had to fulfill some moral and spiritual circumstances on his behalf.
He had to be adept in holy education and had to remain completely as a Brahmin. He was expected that he would teach his disciple the truth, but we often come in the context of the Upanishads of the Brahmins of Kshatriyas and princes who had studied the Vedas (Hindu content related to the Vedic yoga ritual in which Hinduism was). And attained proficiency in those holy teachings, which was the special property of Brahmins. For this example, Raja Janaka of Videha was a skilled Kshatriyas, who had given holy knowledge to the Brahmins.

It is also mentioned in this Upanishad that many women should be teachers. However, women had expertise in fine arts such as dance and singing, which were considered as inadequate for men. These women were allowed to receive education in ancient India. In the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, we get reference of Gargi to take an important part in philosophical discussions.
The realization of this knowledge was to proceed with the destruction of the delusion of all desires and multiplication, which was the consciousness of plurality. It can be achieved through renunciation and yoga. It was educated through teachers teaching through discourses. Then the students could ask questions and introspection and contemplation on those topics. They had to get knowledge about the ultimate truth and reality through meditation.

Other such institutions were for providing advanced education to the students who were not satisfied with the acquired knowledge as students and were academically popular. This usually has academic meetings in different parts of the country for the purpose of philosophical discussion by experts and literary personalities. This former means meant to inspire a person's house, property and family and all those who used to provoke desire. This yoga means meditating on inner self efforts with the view to withdraw from all parts of the soul and to safeguard the mind with the soul. By participating in debates with these academies, students were able to examine their knowledge, which they had acquired in primary schools.
These students interacted with these experts to gain advanced education and learned the truth about soul. In which it was invited to meet representatives from different schools of the country and to exchange ideas. In addition to these academies located in different areas, Raja used to call special national assemblies or national legislative body of any country; we were one such person of the country of the Rishis (a Hindu sage or saint) in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Satapatha Brahmana and Vayu Purana. Know about the National Legislative Body Such a national legislative body of a country helped a lot in the spread of learning in those days.
