It’s the last day in the France Ligue 1 and PSG has already been crowned champion but what surprises surprise are we going to be seeing today.
Marseille has had an impressive performance this season both in France and in Europe as they made it to the semifinals in the Europa conference league but could not make it to the final. They have been second in the league even when they were in the Europa League and the surprising thing is they dropped form and now might have lost the opportunity of playing in the Champions League as they sit in third position same point as Monaco but a big goal difference among them.
Monaco too has been impressive this season, they also featured in the Europa League but couldn’t pass the round of 16 when they played against Braga but their stat since they were disqualified from the Europa League has been just more than good because they haven’t lost a single match in the French league in their last 9 matches which include a win against the Champion PSG and also Stade Rennes.
Stade Rennes sits 4th on the table but hasn’t been that impressive while Strasbourg sits 5th.
Today which is the last match this season in the French league could be a great turnaround for some teams and also could be great regret.
Marseille could go down to fourth if he fails to win which will crash his hope for both Champions league football and also Europa league leaving them with the Europa Conference league and this is only going to happen if Monaco and Stade Rennes get a win which it’s the same thing applies for Monaco too if they fail to get a win today
Stade Rennes could play in the champions league next if both Marseille and Monaco lose today, both three teams will have the same point but Stade Rennes has scored more goals giving them more advantage over the other teams.
The same Stade Rennes could end up playing a Europa conference league qualification match if they fail to win and Strasbourg gets a win today which will take them 1 point above Stade Rennes.
