Portugal seems to forget it is only one team that leaves the group after their bad performance last night against Switzerland in their fourth match in the ongoing European nations league.
One thing i don't understand about the Portuguese coach is wanting every player on the team to play which is not how football works which is the same thing Spain coach is doing, I would have been understood that they are trying to rest some players because the season is just finished and the world cup is fast approaching but i don't agree to that and I'm sure his line up yesterday cost him a crucial 3 point and now they sit second on the table with 7 points after 4 matches.
I'm not saying Ronaldo should play all matches but a better player than Andre Silva and someone more mature than Rafael Leao and I'm not saying these players aren't good but they are young and need more experience. Changing the midfielder every match won't do the team any good and that was what happened yesterday.
It's amazing how Portugal couldn't turn the only goal of the match which was scored in the first minute of the match by Seferovic and assisted by Widmer after playing 8 shots on target compared to just 2 the home team played, 8 corners and they couldn't score any which will frustrate the team.
Spain, on the other hand, won against Czech Republic at home scoring 2 goals and currently sits top of the table with 1 point difference from the team in the second position.
Portugal will play Czech Republic in the next match while Spain will play Switzerland. The winner between Spain and Portugal will be the one promoted to the next stage.
