Married versus Unmarried

In fact, I have found through my very informed and scholarly research, as well as personal experience and observation, that staying unmarried actually makes you happier. There are several reasons for this position and opinion of mine.

As I usually do when confronted with such matters, I would like to approach the argument by speaking in support of this argument from multiple issues, including economic issues, social issues, and international or national issues.

National or international problems

First, looking at the national or international question of how staying unmarried affects our nation-states or countries in the world, I would like to point out that staying unmarried has the ability to positively address the ever-increasing and exploding scrutiny of the world's population to influence way.

The exploding world population, which is becoming increasingly difficult to control, can have many negative effects on the world. It often causes people to migrate or move away from rural areas to urban areas, resulting in slums in the urban areas, which usually come with a major health problem.

Likewise, the population explosion leads to environmental degradation, causing more toxic waste to enter the environment, and this greatly contributes to the destruction of the biosphere. Staying unmarried would make you happier knowing full well that you would help in a great way in controlling the birth rate that has been increasing over the years.

economic issues

Again, if you look at it from the economic level, you will find that staying single has the ability to make you financially happier and not bankrupt. This is because an unmarried person can better control and manage their meager means and finances when they are not doing well than when they are married and have a wife and likely a larger family to support.

According to a study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, people are more than 20 times more likely to commit suicide or take their own lives when they are under very serious financial stress. Because of this, you will find that one would be happier if one's finances were sufficient to meet immediate personal needs. This becomes more difficult or worse when he has bigger mouths to feed, which actually increases the likely suicide rate.

social issues

From a social point of view, you will find that not getting married can make someone happier as they will not become a social laughing stock or lose their social status, respect or status when they should be divorced. Staying unmarried has the ability to control the high rate of divorce in today's society. In several societies and at many times, people with different experiences are stigmatized.

Imagine a situation where a marriage counselor suddenly has to go through the rigors of a failed marriage. This would lower his social standing and in fact only contribute to an increase in the global divorce rate, which is not good. When a family divorces when they have young children or children who are still growing up, it usually has a major negative impact on the children.

This is because they would have no chance of a proper upbringing at home and are immediately exposed to the cruel world of staying with single or divorced parents. If someone remains unmarried, it would make him or her happier as it could greatly reduce the likelihood of divorce, which poses a potential social threat to children raised from divorced homes.
