Water pollution by plastic wastes, a threat for everybody

Dear fellowships on Serey’s platform, I would like to take this opportunity to write something about plastic. Assuming that some of you may be noticed that the waste of plastic has become a serious problem for all of us. We think that by using plastic products is clean and durable, but in contrary plastics pollute our beloved mother nature. Some of you might already have seen on television e.g. National Geographic. Our oceans have dealt with the most plastics on earth. There is nobody to blame about this. We all take part in this process. At the moment there are activists and organizations and even the scientists are looking in this problem seriously. For your information all the used plastics are somehow got into our oceans and a lots of sea birds, fishes and sea animals are decreased dramatically, because these animals do not see the different between the foods and plastics. Researches have been appealed that inside the sea bird, plastics are found.  I have been in Cambodia for a few times now and I noticed that we wasted so much plastics into e.g. sewage. This is the main course of flooding in our capital Phnom Penh when the rain season came. Wasted plastics cannot be dissolved themselves, the process needs a very, very longtime to do this. It is also the question if this can be dissolved by nature. Scientists are still not come up with the solution. The above picture shows that water is good place for mosquitos and when it’s hot it produces unhealthy smelt. When we breath in the air this could damage our health. Especially the children will be more vulnerable. If we do not action now, our beloved capital will be UNINHABITABLE. Give a good example to the next generation. Work together, either the residents or the governments to keep our dear treasure clean. Mother nature cannot do this a lone, she needs us as well.   When it’s hot we use to go to the beaches, but who will go the following beach????   My conclusions are following:  By dumping all kind of plastic products into our sewages water could be polluted and this could be affected our fresh water.  When water is polluted then we are in serious problem. All of us needs fresh water to drink, to clean etc.  It caused damages to us, animals and plants  WE NEED TO PREVENT THIS IMMIDIATELY This is what I would like to express my feeling when I see our country is polluted by all kind of wastes 70-80% by plastic products. Me as a Cambodian I really feel sad when I wrote this article. So I would like to emphasize that we still have time to stop this pollution.
