Dear serey community, Do you remember what exactly  was happned on Tuesday 11th  September 2001. For most investment banks and particularly the american people it was memorial day whereas so many poeple, some of them were my colleagues have lost their lives. https://youtu.be/VDv3_KfdBs4 On the day that happened I was in the office on the other side of the ocean. It was a bright afternoon. I was dealing with a kind of report for my client Merril Lynch International.  This bank was located in the same building as the other investment banks so called World Trade Center (WTC). On this date, two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, located on the southern point of Manhattan.  After the first attact, a colleage at the second WTC  called us in Europe saying that WTC is under attack by terorrism called Al Qaida. On CNN I was manage to see and hear the terrible scene. In New York vlog another plane in the Pentagon, near Washington D.C. A fourth plane crashed near Shanksville (Pennsylvania). All four passenger aircraft flew within the normal duty roster. Two aircraft were owned by American Airlines and two from United Yup  According to official reports, the attacks were carried out by nineteen Al-Qaida members from the Middle East (mainly from Saudi Arabia). These terrorist attacks are considered the greatest in history. Nearly 3,000 people from more than 90 countries died during the attacks. A further 24 missing people are believed to have died.Number people that have been killed by this horrible accidents aer as follow: In New York: *WTC 2.606 innocent people *American plan 11 counts 87 passengers *United Airline 175 counts 60 passengers In Arlington: *Pentagon 125 persons *American airline 77 counts 59 persons In Shanksville: *Unites 73 counts 40 persons So totally (excl. Terrorism): 2.977.  None of the occupants of the four planes involved, including the hijackers, survived the attacks. Of the 2977 persons who died as a result of the attacks, only 1585 were initially identified on the basis of the human remains found. Of the total of 19,916 human remains, 10,190 could be identified. By using new technologies, new identifications are made sporadically. In September 2014, for example, the only Belgian victim was identified. The Twin Towers and the building at 7 World Trade Center of the WTC complex were completely destroyed, the official declaration reported that the buildings had collapsed due to fire, some other buildings were demolished later because of the considerable damage. In the United States there was a sense of national mourning for a long time after the attacks. The attacks made an extraordinary impression all over the world. The media played a major role in this. The attack with the plane that flew into the southern tower was even visible on television. Later it appeared that two cameras had also recorded the first crash. Furthermore, a webcam had made recordings of the approach of the first plane and of the northern tower just after the crash. Economic consequences The total damage of 9/11 is difficult to calculate. The direct material damage is estimated at almost 40 billion dollars. [6] Including all indirect costs, the estimates amount to $ 2 trillion.
