One of the most alarming displays of animal intelligence is seen in chimpanzees. These primates have been observed using tools to achieve their goal. For instance, they use sticks to extract insects from the bark of trees, use leaves to collect drinking water and use rocks to crack open nuts.

Not only is this level of tool use impressive, but they have also been observed using different tools to create a means to achieve their goal. This kind of problem-solving ability is not seen in many animals and showcases the incredible intelligence of chimpanzees.

Another terrifying example of animal intelligence is seen in octopuses. These creatures have been known to escape from aquarium tanks, even when the lids are securely fastened. They have been observed unscrewing the tops of jars to get to their food, and some can even mimic the appearance and texture of other animals to avoid predators. Their ability to adapt and solve problems is impressive and showcases the incredible intelligence of these creatures.
