Imagine a system where everything in the world is produce without being tested, we all knows that such outcome will be straight disaster without much talk or deliberation. If testing is important in other field, it is also important when it comes to cryptocurrency project. When it comes to cryptocurrency and it project, they are some certain things that we needs to put in other before we can even think of moving forward. Aside that, in the cryptocurrency ecosystem they are some certain thing that no matter what you can't do without. In as much crypocurrency is concerned they are important and with that, no matter what, they can't be put aside. The moment you are talking about cryptocurrency they are also discussed deep along the line. Sometimes when I looked at how important they are to cryptocurrency, I called them the back bone of cryptocurrency.
I will give you example of an incident that happened with a project so that we can knows that they are things you shouldn't joke with. Do you knows that one of the major reason why Samsung lost a lot of their fan base is simply because of one of their top phone product that they produce. It was recalled that they recalled the phone simply because of the fact that the issues discovered affecting the phone is too complex. It was said that while on calls or charging the phones it can get burnt. This issue as at that time affected almost all the phones that they produced and sold as at that time. They have to recalled the entire phone after the damage it caused. Despite recalling the phones and appealing to their customers, they noticed that they lost alot of their customers. Just imagine the damages such thing did to their business.
Now come to think of it, imagine a situation where they tested the device before sending it out for use? That would have saved them the disaster it has caused both to customers and their brand. This is the more reason why I am hitting on it that testing is very vital when it comes to anything in life. This is done in other to avert future embarrassment that can help to destroy the status of your business to zero. We all knows that it is difficult to build and when it comes to destruction it is easier. Just imagine the shame, lost of money, lost of customers and embarrassment that incident has caused the company. They could have averted that issues assuming they did the right thing by testing the product properly before letting it out. They must have learnt the hard way by always testing their product henceforth.
Deviating back to what we have at hand, the reason why testnet/devnet is very important is simply because with it we will be able to spot if our crypocurrency project has any issues. Like having crypocurrency project where you will be having a lot of people visiting and investing in it , you will be needing a lot of tester to test how far your code if being launched can handle stress. This is an integral part of your crypocurrency project. Failure to getting this treated, if your customers finds out that your project is having issues handling lot of transactions at a go, they might not wants to invest money into such cryptocurrency project, even when they invest money into it, they won't want to invest huge amount of money. You can only notice that your code, cryptocurrency project can't handle a lot of users if simply you tested your code before setting it out for mainnet. This is very important I must admit, failure to get this treated you will definitely learn the hard way.
With the above example given we can see how important an vital embarking in Testnet is. Before I round up this post, many cryptocurrency project owners ends up rewarding those that helps them testing their cryptocurrency project, this is holding to the fact that they knows how difficult testing of crypocurrency project is. I have done countless testnet, I know how tedious they are. You will have to test different protocols, it is a time consuming stuff also. This is why sometimes the reward is always big.
