This question has been running in my mind for so long. Any time that I think of this I will just get confused the more about Pi and how it will finally be able to go into Mainnet. For some time now I have decided to remove my mind for any thing related to Pi but I came across an old Pi personel who I was told that he is an admin in one of those Pi group. I had to rush down and make sure that I had some quality conversation time with him. We both sat down and discussed properly, I must admit that after the discussion my interest was revived back into the P.I ecosystem. I love the P.I project but the way that they are doing things is showing that they are not professionals at all with whatsoever thing that they are doing. The team is looking like somebody that were thinking that the project will be a small one but at the end their expectations were over met and that really caused a big issue to their database. Just like the message that I am trying to pass out, just take a look at the team you will see that the team are too small to handle was is lying on them, they are showing to the world that they were not expecting anything like this before, but they were surprised to see the outcome.
Where they got surprised about the turn around is when they announced that they will be going into enclose Mainnet. What they mean by this is simply that they won't be allowing the coin to be trading in any exchange at first, what they wanted to do is to make sure that it is trading as P2P. They wanted to make sure that they give it value through the P2P ecosystem first before they fully allows the project to go into mainnet. But for this to be done they will need to have people who have done their KYC. Before you will enjoy anything at first from the P.i ecosystem, you should be prepared to go through the KYC medium, no KYC, your P.I token won't be migrated to the Mainnet wallet. This is really a good idea but they got it all wrong simply because they poorly arrange things before taking it to the open world. This is really what is affecting the whole P.I project right away.
They arrange KYC and funny enough they were releasing it in batch by batch to users. I must admit that this is the first time I am seeing something like this. I have done Kyc with different cryptocurrency project, the outcome has never been like this, the moment you encounter issues you will be asked to re kyc almost immediately. This is now making things interesting and easier for such project. We all knows how cryptocurrency KYC has always been easier deep down no matter what. I was surprised to see that when it got to PI network, the moment you get issues with your kyc, just forget it, you will wait for when they think it is the right time especially when they are ready for mainnet before you will be given the opportunity to re kyc. This is something that is not good at all, it shows that the PI project team are not capable, they don't have the right force, resources or capacity to push this project far.
I discovered that the new people doing kyc are not facing that issue, the moment their KYC has issues they will be re allowed to do their KYC almost immediately, this shows that the team has really improved amazing. We need to applaud them for that. Aside that, those who did theirs long ago, they should forget about rekyc for the now, according to one of the group moderators that I met, he said that we should knows that the old pioneers members in the P.I ecosystem who got their KYC stuck will be able to rekyc but sometimes let us say it is going to be 6 months to when the PI project wants to go into Mainnet. The Mainnet dream is around the corner so if you are waiting for rekyc as old user still hang on, there is still hope for things to be done right.
