It is seen that people spend their time in such works and Umar wastes it in such activities which do not get any benefit from them. It is astonishing to see how much such people rejoice in the passing days and times when they forget that every passing minute and every moment of their life draws them closer to yesterday and the hereafter. The second name of time is life and this is the real age of man. When the protection of time is the basis of every good and the wastage of time is the root of every evil, it becomes necessary that we understand the value of time in life, the question is, what are the reasons and remedies that can be beneficial in saving time. Are ? How can we make the most of our time? All these aspects should be looked into for a while. Islam has attracted attention from various aspects regarding time. Allah has swore time in various verses of the Qur'an, which shows the importance of time and it has been emphasized that time should know the blessings for the worship of Allah. Allah swears by any of his creation, then it shows its importance and its real purpose is to make aware of its benefit. On the day of judgment, a person should be asked about the time. Anho narrates that the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: On the Day of Judgment, a man's feet will not move without answering the question about four things. About Umar, where did he spend his age? About youth that Where did he spend his youth, about the wealth from where he earned and where he spent it, and about the knowledge to what extent he implemented his knowledge? (Tirmidhi) The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ne) It has also been reported that time is one of the important blessings of Allah for the creation, therefore it is necessary for the human being to give thanks for this blessing or else this blessing will be snatched away and will end. To be used in the obedience of Allah and at the most Be done Allah's Messenger (Prophet) Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

देखा जाता है कि लोग अपने वक्त को ऐसे कामों में लगाते हैं और उमर ऐसे कमों में बर्बाद कर देते हैं जिनका उन्हें कोई फायदा हासिल नहीं होता । यह देखकर बड़ा आश्चर्य होता है कि गुज़रते दिनों और बीतते समय पर ऐसे लोग कितना मगन हैं जब कि यह भूले हुए हैं कि उनकी जिन्दगी का गुज़रने वाला हर मिनट और हर क्षण उन्हें कल और परलोक से करीब कर देता है । वक्त ही का दूसरा नाम जीवन है और यही इन्सान की असली उमर है । जब वक्त की हिफाजत हर भलाई की बुनियाद और वक्त की बर्बादी हर बुराई की जड़ है ज़रूरी हो जाता है कि हम लोग जिन्दगी में वक़्त की कीमत को समझें सवाल यह है कि वह कौन से कारण और उपाय हैं जो वक्त की हिफाज़त में लाभाकारी हो सकते हैं ? कैसे हम अपने वक़्त को ज्यादा से ज्यादा लाभाकारी बना सकते हैं ? इन सब पहलुओं पर थोड़ी देर के लिये गौर किया जाए । वक़्त के बारे में विभिन्न पहलुओं से इस्लाम ने ध्यान आकर्षित कराया है । अललाह ने कुरआन की विभिन्न सूरतों में वक्त की कसम खाई है जिससे वक्त की अहमियत का पता चलता है और इस बात पर जोर दिया गया है कि वक्त को अल्लाह की इबादत के लिये गनीमत जानना चाहिए । अल्लाह ने अपनी सृष्टि में से किसी की कसम ( सौगन्ध खाता है तो इससे उसकी अहमियत पता चलता है और इसका असल मकसद उसके लाभ से अवगत कराना होता है । क्यामत के दिन इन्सान से वक्त के बारे में पूछा जाए गा हज़रत मुआज़ बिन जबल रज़ियल्लाहो तआला अन्हो बयान करते हैं कि पैगम्बर मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहो अलैहि वसल्लम ने फरमायाः क्यामत के दिन इन्सान के कदम चार चीज़ों के बारे में सवाल का जवाब दिए बगैर हिल नहीं सकेंगे । उमर के बारे में कि उसने अपनी उमर को कहां खर्च किया ? जवानी के बारे में कि उसने अपनी जवानी को कहां खपाया , माल के बारे में कि उसने माल को कहां से कमाया और कहाँ खर्च किया और इल्म के बारे में कि उसने अपने इल्म पर कहां तक अमल किया ? ( तिर्मिज़ी ) अल्लाह के रसूल ( पैग़म्बर मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहो अलैहि वसल्लम ने इस बात की भी खबर दी है कि वक्त सृष्टि के लिये अल्लाह की नेमतों में से एक महत्वपूर्ण नेमत है इसलिये इन्सान के लिये ज़रूरी है कि वह इस नेमत का शुक्रिया अदा करे वर्ना यह नेमत छीन ली जाएगी और ख़तम हो जाएगी । वक्त की नेमत को अल्लाह की एताअत फरमांबरदारी ( अनुसरण ) में स्तेमाल किया जाए और ज्यादा से ज्यादा नेकियां की जाएं । अल्लाह के रसूल ( पैग़म्बर ) मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहो अलैहि वसल्लम ने फरमायाः
