The Bangladesh team ended the first day of the Sylhet Test with great discomfort yesterday. After Bangladesh were all out for 191 runs, Zimbabwe scored 66 runs without losing a wicket. That discomfort for Nazmul Hossain's team has subsided to some extent today. Although the visitors got an 82-run lead in the first innings.

Bangladesh ended the second day with 57 runs for 1 wicket. They are still behind by 25 runs. How far does Bangladesh want to go in this Test? Mehedi Hasan Miraj, who came to the press conference today as the team's representative, had initially avoided the question.

Later, when asked about the target again, he initially said that his team is currently looking at taking the lead. Miraj then mentioned a number, 'With the wicket we have now, I think if we can bat properly, if we can score 350-400 runs, it will be very good for our team. If a target of 300 runs is given in Test cricket, it will be very difficult for the opponent. Because, there will be a lot of changes on the wicket. We have to bat with that responsibility.’

In the first innings, where Bangladesh were all out for 191, Zimbabwe scored 273 runs. Even Mehedi Hasan Miraz’s 5 wickets could not prevent Zimbabwe from taking the lead. However, there was a hint of this at the end of the first day. Zimbabwe ended the day with 67 runs for no wickets in 14.1 overs.
