Great Expectations
Eldoret is the home of the greatest world athletes and Marathoners. It is the home of Eliud Kipchoge whom the dreams of winning the 2020 London Marathon was shattered by the Ethopian, Shura Kitata. Eliud finished eighth.
Kenyans had turned in large numbers at Eldoret to watch this unfolding event on a large screen put on one of the busy roads in Eldoret. The road was closed by the large crowd which turned up. Among the spectators was the Uasin Gishu county governor, Jackson Mandago and cabinet Minister for tourism and wildlife, Najib Balala.
The crowd surged with expectancy as Brigid Kosgei, Kenyan own woman athlete clinched the 2020 London Female Marathon. This made it a sure bet that Eliud Kipchoge will surely defend his unbeatable record.

Shattered Expectations
When Brigid Kosgei led the female Marathoners by clinching the London Marathon 2020 female tittle, the crowd cheered with hope. Yet to their disappointment, their hero came eighth. Eliud blamed it all on cramps and a blocked ear. He is positive to run and win in the forthcoming marathons.
