One eye may look at the world and see fairness surrounding and engulfing all people in the world. Another eye sees the world in its full unfairness and injustice.
There is one guy down the corner who can barely afford a meal while there is another lavishing in total riches. While one can barely afford shoes, the other one shops a vehicle at $400,000. Not that this is the only one, but it is among their fleet of vehicles.
Not that I have a grudge with anybody nor the world in general, but at least there would have been a way where the gap between one and the other was narrower. There are at least some countries which try to narrow the gap but others widen it more.
Americans try and equate employees salary somehow but there are countries who even rape their country of residence and money.

I do love the phrase. Gaining and then losing something. I will put it differently. How much precious is life as compared to materialistic possessins?
We are passersby in this world. We are moving on. The world is just a stopover. Yet being in the world is important. It is here where our actions are gauged.
What is it to be stinking rich when ailments are crowding at the door threatening to deour you? Your riches end up in the pockets of medics. Your children have become sods and drug pushers. They are wrecks.
