Kenya continues to experience the pangs of the Covid19 pandemic. So far they have tested more than 90,000 samples as at 5th June 2020. Those found positive have passed the 2,000 mark. There are 643 recoveries with 79 total fatalities.

There are some counties including Nairobi which are in lockdown. The country has issued a curfew from 7 p.m till 5 a.m. This has drasticallyy affected the country's evonomy bearing in mind all schools, churches, workplaces and some businesses are not operational.
facebook state house imageThe president will address the country today, Saturday 6th June 2020. He is likely to lift the curfew to take place between 9.00 p.m to 5.00 a.m. Church adherents expect the president to reopen churches but the measures of wearing masks, social distancing and hand sanitation to be followed.
Since there are examinations I'm December for those in Primary 8 and Secondary 4, the country expects the president to give a day on school reopening.

Covid19 seems to be a disease which may stay with us like Aids, Cancer and others. The populace feels it is high time we learn to live with it. As different bodies are busy trying out immunizations and treatment medicines for the disease, people feel the economy should be opened. It is a hard decision but the pandemic is causing stress on many Kenyans. Many can hardly get a meal.
We pray for this pandemic to end so that the world can return to its normalcy.
