My farm again wants to showcase one of its gems in the name of Okra. Many will realize the significance of this amazing fruit commonly used as a vegetable. Not that it is edible but it also has amazing health capabilities you will soon discover if you read on.

Do not confuse ochre with okra. Ochre is a type of coloured clay used for decoration. Okra happens to be a fruit mostly used as a vegetable.

Developing unique plants is my passion. Okra found itself in my garden and to be honest, I never knew what it was and how to use it. Mine was to cultivate them for seeds which the locals demanded. I cared less what they wanted them for. I do not know when they began looking for the young green bell-like fruits. Yet my sales for them went suddenly up. If it was not for the good price they offered I would not have sold them the young fruits.

So the price was good! Curiosity set in and I set to find out the reason. On investigation, I found out facts which left my mouth open with wonder and amazement. Here is what I found out.

  1. Okra had qualities which could drain out the extra body water. It could trim potbellies and make you lighter.
  2. Okra was capable of managing asthma.
  3. Okra could manage cancer.
  4. Okra could really take care of your skin.
  5. Okra could help out in treating ulcers.
  6. Okra was good to bones and eyes.
  7. Okra enhanced your hair and brain
  8. Okra was anti-inflamatory
  9. Okra helps in digestion and cleanses your body.
