A genius is a very intelligent person. This person can answer all the questions given to him exceptionally good. Geniuses are measured using the Intelligent Quotient or IQ. One with a high IQ is a genius.

In learning institutions we have geniuses, normal Learners and academic dwarfs rolled into one. Even if all the intelligent Learners are put in one class, we shall start having these divisions.

So at one time your parent was once in school! As they encourage you to work hard in school, they are full of praises on how they were wonderful Learners. What beats me is they cannot ever assist you with your homework. Some do not even know what pythogoras throremn means. It is as if they never ever went to school.

As parents struggle to encourage their children to work hard, they should try and tell the truth. Being geniuses is not any gateway to a successful life. There are many academic dwarfs who make it great in life. When our children learn this is when they will appreciate education and work smart.
