Five Great Reasons Why Corona Swept The World Off Its Feet

At least as per the present situation, corona is the household name next to Jesus Christ. Forgive me if I give too much respect to this pandemic.

There are many who in their naive minds think covid19 is a fantasy. There are quite a section who, until now, think corona is a hoax. Oh! How wrong they are. Corona is alive just like you and I. The only difference is covid19 is a celeb and you are not.

What is it that makes corona tick? It has freaked the lowly and the mighty! People freak out when they hear the word 'corona'. They will scramble for masks, keep social distance and wash and sanitize their hands as frequently as possible.

The corona virus has dwarfed cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and HIV/AIDS. The name corona happens to be on everyone's lips. I wonder how many times a day you mention or hear corona being mentioned.

Corona is slang for crown. At least the Spanish take the credit of giving us the name. So the Spanish can celebrate having taught the world a new vocabulary. 

China also has something to celebrate! What of having a disease originate there? Wuhan is the famous City who boast of being the first to test the disease.

5. The World Assumed Corona

Most people never really realized how serious corona was. They assumed it. Up to now, there are people who still believe it is a hoax. As they do, the pandemic spreads like bushfire consuming the world as if it is dry figs.

4. Very Few People Were Screened Daily Of The Virus

The world over did not have enough kits to do mass screening. As fewer people we're screened, majority we're spreading the disease. Many more were getting infected and passing it on.

3. The Disease Has A Long Time Incubation Period

With more than 14 days incubation period corona virus became quite dangerous. Infected people in this period of time were not showing any symptoms of the disease.

2. Assymptomatic Infections were making thing hard.

Corona virus had many infected people who were showing no symptoms of the disease. This was making the disease spread yet the sick people all looked healthy. They were not lying down desolate but were moving about like normal people.

1. The World Did Not Understand Corona Well

They never understood corona was transmitted through  body fluids like mucus. It was also hard to know the virus could stay on surfaces for long.
