They are truly legends.

"We are truly legends", these were the words of Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola after they won the league title today.

The suspense the Manchester City gave me today wasn’t an ordinary one, my heart was roaming around the League matches going down at the same time since it was the last day of the League. My heart was with the Manchester City match while I left my body with the Liverpool fixture against Wolves; those two matches were the only matches that could make a shocking difference in the league since the league title was swinging between them.

Manchester City eventually won the League title, I knew it would have been a different story if they lost the league to Liverpool at the brink of winning the title because that was the only hope they had to lift a title this season, I don't know if Gerard really wanted to win the league for Liverpool but Aston Villa gave their best performance despite losing at full time.

I can imagine what was going on in Pep Guardiola mind at halftime, the moment Aston Villa scored the second goal could have given him a rise in heartbeat rate. How would he explain that they lost the league at the edge of victory?

Grinding out results is one thing I admire Manchester City for, it is not the first time they have faced this situation in the Premier League but they usually fight till there is nothing worth fighting for again. It might not have worked in the FA Cup and other titles but when it comes to the Premier League, they usually have this strong heart for winning it.

The next season would be more challenging for Manchester City, more challenging than we saw this season because of the teams that have stepped up their games this season. It wouldn't be a smooth ride even if they will eventually win the league again.

Liverpool gave their best through the season but it definitely wasn't enough, they were up to the task but City took their chances seriously. I guess playing in too much competition at a time affected Liverpool, the coach had to rotate the team at some point which didn't give the best results they needed.

They have been consistent and would definitely get another breakthrough to the title if they don't relent in seasons to come.

Leeds United were fortunate to get out of the relegation zone after defeating Brentford 2 - 1, I was certain about their survival because Burnley was playing against a side that wouldn't show mercy at tearing them apart.

They got the opening goal of the encounter but somehow, the home team equalized. It was 1 - 1 until close to the end of the match. Brentford had already gotten a red card which reduce the team's resistance against the fierce Leeds United side.

Burnley fought really hard as well but couldn't overturn the 2 goals they conceded already in the encounter, they squeezed a goal out from the encounter which wasn't enough. I think they have been here for a while and are still struggling, they should return to their drawing board to make amendments before they return to the league again.

Congratulations to Manchester City for winning the league and Leeds for escaping demotion back to the Championship.
