This must be the biggest moment in his career.

If anyone had asked me what the best moment in Frank Lampard's coaching career was, my response would be helping Everton out of the relegation zone. You need to have seen the joy on the face of the former Chelsea captain, he was really excited because he did the job he was hired for; picking Everton's job during a worse moment was something I thought would backfire on the English man, we saw how it went for him at Chelsea and I feared that we might be seeing the same thing if he failed to deliver Everton out of the relegation zone.

Last night's encounter against Crystal Palace was a crucial one for Everton, a lot of weight was hanging on that encounter and it would have meant something else for Everton if they didn't get at least one point from the encounter.  It wasn’t over for Everton because they still have one match to go but what if things didn’t go as planned in the last match then they will be in huge trouble?

I felt it was better winning the match to escape relegation before the last day than fighting for survival on the last day of the league, playing against Crystal Palace was indeed a challenging one for Everton because they have lost twice to them in the season already. Crystal Palace had a better season compared to Everton but that doesn’t give us the reason to write the Merseyside club off in that encounter that determined a lot for Everton.

The match gave some heartbreaking moments; it started with Everton conceding the first goal at the Goodison Park. They went on to concede the second goal as well and you can tell how terrifying that was for the Everton fans, they trailed by two goals in the first half and it looked like the beginning of the end for Everton. The first half result alone has condemned them to struggle in the relegation zone but things went from bad to good in the second half of the encounter.

Everton scored three times in the second half of the match, it was unbelievable because of the performance we saw in the first half. Frank Lampard will definitely be the happiest man last night and the opportunity he earned himself would give him the chance to prove himself in the coming season.
