Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Faruk Ahmed said that Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah are role models for young people. The youth will be encouraged by seeing them.
National and International Sports Day was celebrated on Saturday at the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Several programs were taken up in the capital to mark the day.
Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan was present at the program. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Faruk Ahmed and many others were also present.
Talking to reporters about the National and International Sports Day, BCB President Faruk said, "When a player is created, an idol is created, and others also move forward considering him as an ideal. Once this happened in our football. Now we have taken cricket to the world court. We have several players who, seeing them, everyone everywhere thinks that they could have become players like Tamim-Mushfiqur-Mahmudullah. They are now role models.
