There are more than 167 thousand words in that dictionary. There are 265 million Portuguese speakers in the world. The word 'pale' will henceforth mean 'extraordinary' to them.

The newly added word 'pale' in the dictionary has more meanings. For example, 'exceptional, incomparable and unique.' The online version of the Portuguese dictionary named Michaelis says, 'For example, to express the greatness of the name Pele, you can write sentences such as 'He is the Pele of basketball' or 'This actress is the Pele of Brazilian drama.'
The three-time World Cup winner 'The King of Football' Pele died of cancer at the age of 82 last December. Pele scored 1,281 goals in club and international football over two decades, a world record.
