Hello everyone, I'm here to tell you about E-commerce which is also known as electronic commerce. Enjoy!

E-commerce is also known as Electronic Commerce. It is the buying and selling of goods and services online or on the internet. This also means that transactions or terms of trade are done online.

TYPES OF E-COMMERCE

There are different types of E-commerce but we will be focusing on three major ones which are:

• B2B [Business to Business].
• B2C [Business to Consumers].
• C2C [Consumer to Consumer].

 

• Business to Business [B2B]: This type of E-commerce is done between manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. These are those who buy to sell to others. Some examples of these organizations’ are Amazon, eWorldTrade, AutoGlobalTrade, etc.
• Business to Consumers [B2C]: This type of E-commerce involves businesses buying and selling goods and services to the final consumer. Some Examples of these organizations’ include Amazon, Facebook [Meta], Walmart, etc.
• Consumer to Consumer [C2C]: This type of E-commerce is carried out when goods and services are exchanged between two consumers. Examples of these organizations’ include eBay, Craigslist, etc.

ADVANTAGES OF E-COMMERCE

• Customers can get at a better price rate.
• It is easier and more convenient for both buyers and sellers.
• It makes communication between buyers and sellers easier.
• It encourages the use of online payment.

DISADVANTAGES OF E-COMMERCE

• Businesses face a competition on a global scale.
• E-commerce may not be accessible to everyone.
• Illiteracy can hinder the growth of E-commerce.
• Good may not meet customer satisfaction.

We can clearly see that E-commerce is the future of marketing and with more E-commerce sites coming up daily; we can clearly see that we are entering a new era of marketing. Thank you.
