Olympic Games

The Olympic Games are a sport held in honor of the gods at the foot of Mount Olympus, considered the abode of the gods in ancient Greece. It is believed that the Olympic Games were held every four years in the Olympic Village of Ellis, Greece, at the foot of Mount Olympus, dedicated to the god Zeus. From that ancient time to today's modern Olympics, a lot of time has passed. The Olympics have undergone many changes at different times and in different contexts. There is disagreement as to who introduced the Olympic Games, but most believe that the Greek hero Hercules or Heraclius introduced this sporting event.The Olympics have been scheduled for four consecutive years since its inception. However, there have been two incidents of falling rhythm on the way. The Olympic Games have not been able to save themselves from the two catastrophes that have befallen this world in modern times. The Olympic Games came to a standstill when civilization came to a standstill in the aftermath of the two world wars. The sixth edition could not be held in 1918 due to the First World War. Due to the devastation of the Second World War, it was not possible to organize the 12th and 13th editions in 1940 and 1944 respectively. The Olympic Games have found their own rhythm as the world has risen from the ashes.The Olympics is one of the most important traditions of ancient Greece.
