Footage circulating online reportedly shows a group of Israeli settlers attacking, vandalising and attempting to break into Palestinian homes in the village of Taybeh in the occupied West Bank.
Taybeh, a Christian village close to Ramallah, has been declared a “closed military zone” by the Israeli military after months of repeated attacks by Israeli settlers.
Violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians has long been a feature in the West Bank, but it has intensified sharply since the war on Gaza began in 2023.
Settlers are now carrying out near-daily attacks on Palestinian villages and communities, which include vandalism, arson, forced displacement, and physical assaults, sometimes involving irearms.
