Hello and welcome in my today's Post.

From today i am going to write on plant system.

In this I will explain about Root. 

 

PRIMARY AND SECANDARY ROOT

The initial root which grow from radicle of the embryo is the primary root or tap root. Its further branches form secondary root and tertiary root system. The tips of roots and shoots in plants consist of tissues formed by the cells called meristematic tissues. These cells are specialized for growth. These cells increase in number by rapid cell division.

INTERNAL STRUCTURE OF ROOT

The main parts in the internal structure of root are epidermis, cortex, endodermis vascular bundles, xylem and phloem. The arrangement of these parts are shown in a transverse section (TS) of the root.
