Critical Story Honesty Rewarded
Aslam Shahid: The Lahore train was speeding towards its destination. Passengers had closed all the windows and doors due to severe cold. The night was dark and cold. I was on my way to my destination, confused in my thoughts. Today, he was thinking of his old mother, whom he was leaving crying and going to another city in search of work. Irfan was the luminary of a noble family. His father was employed in a factory, life was lived happily but God had something else in mind. One day Irfan came back home from school and a bad news was waiting for him at home, his father had left both of them today to meet his true creator. Irfan's mother was crying, Irfan's condition was no different from his mother. Irfan was extremely saddened by the death of his father, but he had no choice but to be patient. After the death of his father, the conditions of Irfan's house also deteriorated. Because when there is no one to earn money, how will the expenses of the house go. Irfan was a conscientious young man. He could not bear that the word reached the faqs through him, so Irfan started looking for work in his city but he faced disappointment everywhere. Finally, he got fed up and asked his mother for permission to go to another city, finally, on Irfan's insistence, his mother gave him permission with great difficulty and today he was going to another city with his short luggage. "Show me the ticket" The harsh voice of the ticket checker broke his train of thought.Irfan immediately showed his ticket to the ticket checker. The ticket checker returned the ticket to Irfan and went ahead. Irfan looked at the clock, it was three o'clock in the night. After a while, his station arrived and Irfan got his ticket. Got down at the station with the luggage. As soon as he got down at the station, he felt a strong gust of wind, which made his body shiver. The night was still long, so Irfan thought that he should sleep at the station until morning. Now that was a good place to sleep. While searching, suddenly his eyes fell on a purse. Irfan immediately picked up that wallet and opened it and saw that there were many rupees in it. When Irfan took out all the money from the wallet, he also found an ID card inside the wallet. When Irfan saw the address on the ID card, he was nearby. It was from the city. Irfan decided in his heart that he will deliver this money to its owner. After some time, a car going to this city came. Irfan got on this car. Very soon the station of this city came. Irfan got down from the car and started looking for a house. The sun was busy spreading light with its rays, after some time Irfan stood in front of a house. The house was built in an excellent style. Irfan rang the call bell, after some time a well-dressed young man came out. Irfan went ahead. He shook hands with him and took out the identity card from his pocket. Irfan told him the whole situation and returned his money and ID card. The man was impressed by Irfan's honesty. He took Irfan inside with him. The man took good care of Irfan and asked him the reason for coming to another city. This young man was the owner of a huge factory. Irfan told him that he had come to another city to look for a job. Seeing Irfan's honesty, the man immediately hired him in his factory. Irfan was also very happy to find him. From this story we get a lesson that no matter how much trouble comes to us, we should never be afraid of trouble and we should always act honestly.
اسلم شاہد․․․․لاہور ریل گاڑی اپنی منزل کی جانب تیزی سے رواں دواں تھی۔سخت سردی کی وجہ سے مسافروں نے تمام کھڑکیاں اور دروازے بند کر رکھے تھے ۔رات گہری اور سردی حد سے زیادہ بڑھ گئی تھی۔عرفان اس سرد رات میں اپنے خیالات میں الجھا ہوا منزل مقصود کی جانب گامزن تھا۔ آج اسے رہ رہ کر اپنی بوڑھی ماں کا خیال آرہا تھا،جسے وہ روتا ہوا چھوڑ کر کام کی تلاش میں دوسرے شہر جا رہا تھا۔ عرفان ایک شریف خاندان کا چشم و چراغ تھا۔اس کا باپ ایک فیکٹری میں ملازم تھا،زندگی ہنسی خوشی بسر ہو رہی تھی لیکن خدا کو کچھ اور ہی منظور تھا۔ ایک دن عرفان اسکول سے واپس گھر آیا تو گھر پر ایک بُری خبر اس کی منتظر تھی،اس کا باپ آج ان دونوں چھوڑ کر اپنے خالق حقیقی سے جا ملا تھا عرفان کی ماں کا رو رو کر بُرا حال تھا،خود عرفان کی حالت بھی ماں سے مختلف نہ تھی۔عرفان کو اپنے باپ کی موت کا بے حد دکھ تھا لیکن صبر کے سوا اس کے پاس کوئی چارہ نہ تھا۔ باپ کی موت کے بعد عرفان کے گھر کے حالات بھی خراب ہو گئے تھے۔کیونکہ جب کوئی کمانے والا ہی نہ ہو تو گھر کا خرچ کیسے چلے گا۔ عرفان ایک باضمیر نوجوان تھا۔اس سے یہ برداشت نہ ہو سکا کہ اس کے ہوتے ہوئے بات فاقوں تک پہنچے،اس لئے عرفان نے اپنے شہر میں کام کی تلاش شروع کر دی لیکن اسے ہر جگہ مایوسی کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ آخر تنگ آکر اس نے اپنی ماں سے دوسرے شہر جانے کی اجازت مانگی،آخرکار عرفان کے اصرار پر اس کی ماں نے بڑی مشکل سے اسے اجازت دے دی اور آج وہ اپنے مختصر سے سامان کے ساتھ دوسرے شہر جا رہا تھا۔ ”ٹکٹ دکھاؤ“ٹکٹ چیکر کی کرخت آواز نے اس کے خیال کا تسلسل توڑ دیا۔ عرفان نے فوراً ٹکٹ چیکر کو اپنا ٹکٹ دکھایا۔ٹکٹ چیکر نے ٹکٹ دیکھ کر عرفان کو واپس کر دیا اور آگے بڑھ گیا۔عرفان نے گھڑی میں وقت دیکھا،رات کے تین بج رہے تھے۔کچھ دیر بعد اس کا اسٹیشن آگیا اور عرفان اپنا سامان لے کر اسٹیشن پر اتر گیا۔ اسٹیشن پر اترتے ہی اسے ہوا کا ایک تیز جھونکا لگا،جس سے اس کا جسم کانپ کر رہ گیا۔رات ابھی کافی باقی تھی،اس لئے عرفان نے سوچا کہ صبح ہونے تک اسٹیشن پر ہی سویا جائے۔ابھی وہ سونے کے لئے مناسب جگہ تلاش کر ہی رہا تھا کہ اچانک اس کی نظر ایک پرس پر پڑی۔ عرفان نے فوراً وہ پرس اٹھا لیا اور اسے کھول کر دیکھا، اس کے اندر بہت سے روپے تھے۔عرفان نے جب تمام پیسے پرس سے نکالے تو پرس کے اندر سے ایک شناختی کارڈ بھی ملا۔عرفان نے شناختی کارڈ پر ایڈریس دیکھا تو وہ قریبی شہر کا تھا۔ عرفان نے اپنے دل میں پکا ارادہ کر لیا کہ وہ یہ پیسے اس کے مالک تک پہنچائے گا۔کچھ دیر بعد اس شہر کو جانے والی گاڑی آگئی۔عرفان اس گاڑی پر سوار ہو گیا۔ بہت جلد اس شہر کا اسٹیشن آگیا۔عرفان گاڑی سے اترا اور مکان تلاش کرنے لگا۔ سورج اپنی کرنوں سے روشنی پھیلانے میں مصروف تھا،کچھ دیر بعد عرفان ایک مکان کے سامنے کھڑا تھا۔مکان ایک بہترین طرز پر تعمیر کیا گیا تھا۔عرفان نے کال بیل بجائی،کچھ دیر بعد ایک خوش پوش نوجوان باہر نکلا۔عرفان نے آگے بڑھ کر اس سے ہاتھ ملایا اور جیب سے شناختی کارڈ نکال کر دیکھا،شناختی کارڈ پر اسی شخص کی تصویر لگی ہوئی تھی۔ عرفان نے ساری صورتحال اسے بتائی اور اس کے پیسے اور شناختی کارڈ واپس کر دیا۔وہ شخص عرفان کی ایمانداری سے بہت متاثر ہوا۔ عرفان کو اپنے ساتھ اندر لے گیا۔اس شخص نے عرفان کی خوب خاطر مدارت کی اور دوسرے شہر آنے کی وجہ پوچھی۔ یہ نوجوان ایک بہت بڑی فیکٹری کا مالک تھا۔عرفان نے اسے بتایا کہ وہ دوسرے شہر نوکری کی تلاش میں آیا ہے۔اس شخص نے عرفان کی ایمانداری کو دیکھتے ہوئے فوراً اپنی فیکٹری میں ملازم رکھ لیا۔عرفان بھی بہت خوش ہوا کہ اسے اس کی ایمانداری کا پھل مل گیا ہے۔اس کہانی سے ہمیں یہ سبق ملتا ہے کہ ہم پر چاہے کتنی ہی مصیبت کیوں نہ آجائے،مصیبت سے کبھی گھبرانا نہیں چاہئے اور ہمیں ہمیشہ ایمانداری سے کام کرنا چاہیے۔
