The path they took was never smooth
But then they made it to the top
The Road To Success that I know
Has always been a rough road.
There are obstacles here and there
Speed bumps must surely slow you down
There are potholes everywhere
to check your speed and term you down.
A crooked path full of corners
You would never know what is coming
Yet you have to keep moving
To get your destination.
A rough road it has always been
Accident bound to happen any time
Because of all the struggle there
And all the crowd moving on it.
But even as it's rough and tough
One can still make it through alive
With lots of success stories to show
For passing through the road.
The success lane is staring at you
To make a choice of life at once
Either to persevere and win
Or quit and lose out on it all.
It's better to choose the rough road
It won't be rough forever
It's just a means to an end
Of better life of wealth and fame.
