Children among those killed in Russian airstrikes on Ukraine before Easter

At least four people have reportedly been killed and seven injured, including at least two children, in huge Russian strikes on regions that Moscow seized but does not yet fully control, according to Kyiv. Following a warning from authorities not to congregate in large crowds to commemorate Christ's Resurrection, workers went on strike just before Easter.

Two Russian servicemen were seen in a video that Moscow published using a "killer" or "kamikaze" drone. 

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, in one of the Ukrainian battlefields, an American artillery was destroyed. 

The video was released at the same time as Kiev claims Russian soldiers bombed the country's east and south using armed drones, ground- and air-fired missiles, and rocket launchers.

Attacks since Thursday have targeted Ukrainian regions. Despite annexation, Russia does not have total authority. In addition to fatalities, there were several structural damages and power disruptions. 

Russian offensive activities, according to Ukrainian officials, were mostly centred on Ukraine's industrial east, particularly in the cities and towns of Bakhmut and Lyman, Avdiivka, and Marinka in the Donetsk region. 

At least a few innocent bystanders died. But despite the fact that these reports could not be independently verified, the Russian defence ministry claimed that Ukrainian forces had suffered dozens of fatalities.

Over the past 24 hours, attacks have also been recorded in the partially occupied Kherson area of Ukraine. A 30-year-old lady, a three-year-old son, and a 10-year-old daughter were among those hurt, according to Kyiv.

Easter Warning

This Easter, when the government anticipates further strikes from Russia, people have been advised not to congregate in sizable numbers. 

Nevertheless, despite the attacks, the British Defense Ministry declares that Russia's attempt to undermine Ukraine's integrated energy infrastructure over the recent winter has "highly likely failed." 

It asserts that the onset of warmer weather will "likely" improve Ukraine's energy situation.
