With the explosive growth of cryptocurrencies in the world today it's not surprising the extensiveness with which it has gained massive popularity, particularly amongst the younger generation.
At one point or the other even before knowing what a cryptocurrency is, you must've heard of the word being used. Look at the time frame from when you first heard of cryptocurrencies up until this moment and imagine the number of projects that is currently in existence, it's almost mind blowing.
Whatever has an advantage definitely has its drawbacks. For instance the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies is something that can be both advantageous and disadvantageous depending on how versatile you are with different trading strategies.
But one thing that has championed the growth of crypto is that everyone can get involved regardless of who or what level of experience you have dealing with them. This is particularly why cryptocurrencies can be used as an empowerment scheme ( it already is to a large extent). Writing for instance on platforms such as this has become a full-time job for some individuals and with the work put in, they can easily boast of getting their source of livelihood from cryptocurrencies.
Trading cryptocurrencies has almost become a necessity as breathing to some people. This is actually what it should be about, empowering people from different backgrounds, nationality and being a source of financial sustainability to many individuals. I think to a large extent cryptocurrencies has done this and with more projects coming up, I don't see a decline in it's popularity soon.
Although prices might boom or dip, price is only just one factor. There's a whole lot to crypto than just it's price and with growing adoption we'll continue to find even better ways for it's usage.
