I have a cousin who is studying in Spain, a master's degree, she took the time on vacation to go to know the city of Gerona, and sent me a lot of pictures, of which I want to share some on this platform.
One of the main and attractive features is that it is crossed by the Oñar river, in addition to its beautiful landscapes, gothic architecture, stairs, as well as cobblestone streets and alleys. The population is very warm, the locals are talkative and with ease, besides their own pride, they lend themselves to give tours to visitors free of charge.
Gerona has a medieval old town, walls, houses and colorful buildings, to get to this city can be done easily from the city of Barcelona by train, the main neighborhood that everyone visits is "Old Neighborhood" and "Mercadal Neighborhood", both are very similar where people can walk freely and safely.
If it is about the restaurants, they are attractive where you can taste the gastronomic food of the area, being able to sit inside or outside the premises. There are also stores with lots of souvenirs for visitors.
