It's been a wonderful experience serving in the Defence Academy under the Department of Intelligence and Security Studies. At this point I can say I have learnt alot about the military and the making of an officer for the short time and I must confess it's not easy as it sounds from far to be an officer. These gentlemen are always up and down for complete 24 hours of the day ranging from Academics to physical training they barely have time for themselves and war betide you if you're caught maneuvering you will surely receive a double ration of that particular function you are found wanting. There's a high-level of discipline exhibited here and I must commend them for that constant tradition of discipline that has emerge for many years from time in memorial.
The Defence Academy has remain one of the Institution in the country that's been consistent in their functions without glitches and has remain the pride of the nation. The military is very sensitive in appointing the Commandant of the Academy because it concerns the forming of Young officers who will grow to later steer the affairs of the country someday and be appointed into key positions in the country like the chief of Defence Staff, Army Staff, Navy Staff and Air Vice Marshall this is the cradle of this great men by implication serious measures have to be introduced in training these gentlemen.
