As part of my compulsory one year service to my Nation at the Nigerian Defence Academy I'm partial involved in the military parade of the Academy, it is not an optional activity for corp members serving with the academy but a compulsory at whatever point you caught maneuvering you will be compare to pay a huge token as offenders fee. This offend is one of it the authority seriously frown at especially when it's intentionally carried out. The essence of these parade is to keep you fit for the task ahead and to make you active at all times most especially toughen you to stand whatever you may come across even as a civilian.
Currently, the academy is in preparation for their forthcoming passing out parade for their Direct Short Service cadets, these set of cadets are graduates of different professional field of discipline from various institution across the country, the essence of these recruitment is to fit in the professional area of the military such as Medical Doctors, Vertinery Doctors and the Engineering wing of the military as to meet up with the current challenges it face in dispatching their duties. During their six months of Military Training which is basically physical training and military drills this is tobenhance them physically in all weather. It's indeed a short but a long journey of six months from the normal four to five years of academics and intensive military drill for officers.
