পাখিদের অভয়ারণ্য/Bird Sanctuary:

সন্ধ্যা নামতে এখনও খানিকটা বাকি। আকাশটা নীলাভ স্বচ্ছতায় ছেয়ে আছে।

পাখিরা দলবেঁধে নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে ফিরছে। চারিদিকে ডানা ঝাপটানো উড়াউড়ির সঙ্গে পাখির কিচিরমিচির শব্দ।

অতিথি পাখির কলকাকলিতে মুখর এলাকা। দলবেঁধে ঘরে ফেরার দৃশ্য দেখতে দূর থেকে ছুটে আসছেন পাখি প্রেমীরা। সবার মতো আমরা ও অফিস শেষ করে এই সুন্দর দৃশ্য দেখতে গিয়েছিলাম।

বাগেরহাট সদরের বারুইপাড়া ইউনিয়নের উজলপুর বাজার সংলগ্ন মিনি সুন্দরবনে বিকেল হলেই এমন দৃশ্যের এখন প্রতিদিনই দেখা মেলে।

চিতলমারী উপজেলার মধ্যে দিয়ে প্রবাহিত চিত্রা নদীর চরে আনুমানিক দুই দশক ধরে জন্ম নিয়েছে বিভিন্ন গাছপালা যা অনেকটা সুন্দর বনের অবয়ব ফুটিয়ে তুলেছে। যার কারনে স্হানীয়রা এই জায়গার নাম দিয়েছে মিনি সুন্দরবন।

মিনি সুন্দরবন পাখিদের সেই নিরাপদ আশ্রয়। এ বনে পাখিদের এই অভয়ারণ্য পর্যটন শিল্পের নতুন সম্ভাবনার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

স্থানীয়রা জানান, সুন্দরবনের বিভিন্ন গাছের বীজ জোয়ারের পানিতে ভেসে এসে প্রাকৃতিকভাবে চিত্রার বাঁকে এই বনের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।

এসব বীজের মাধ্যমে চরের জমিতে সুন্দরী, গোল, ওড়া, কেওড়া, গরানসহ নানা প্রজাতির অসংখ্য গাছ জন্ম নিয়েছে। এই বন দেখলে অনেকটা মূল সুন্দরবনেরই অনুভূতি পাওয়া যায়।

সন্ধ্যার আগে আগে যখন সাদা বক আসে তখন মনে হবে সাদা চাদরে ঢেকে গেছে গোটা এলাকা। দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে হাজারও দর্শনার্থী এ মনোরম দৃশ্য দেখতে ছুটে আসেন।

মিনি সুন্দরবনকে যথাযথভাবে সংরক্ষণ করতে পারলে এটি হয়ে উঠতে পারে পর্যটন শিল্পের অপার সম্ভাবনাময় একটি খাত।

Birds are flocking back to safe haven. Chirping of birds with flapping wings all around.

A busy area for visiting birds. Bird lovers come from far away to see the sight of returning home in groups. Like everyone, we went to see this beautiful scene after finishing office.

Such a scene can be seen every day in the afternoon in Mini Sundarbans near Ujalpur Bazar in Baruipara Union of Bagerhat Sadar.

For approximately two decades, various plants have been born in the Chitra river flowing through Chitalmari upazila, which has created a beautiful forest. Due to which locals have named this place Mini Sundarbans.

Mini sundarban is the safe haven of birds. This forest bird sanctuary has created new possibilities for the tourism industry.

Locals said that the seeds of various trees of Sundarbans were washed away by tidal water and this forest was created naturally in Chitra Bend.

Through these seeds, numerous trees of various species including Sundari, Gol, Ora, Keora, Garan have grown in the pasture land. When you see this forest, you get a feeling of the original Sundarbans.

When the white buck comes earlier in the evening, it seems that the whole area is covered with a white sheet. Thousands of visitors came from far and wide to see this beautiful scene.

Mini Sundarbans can become a huge potential sector of tourism industry if properly conserved.
