How To Avoid Aggressive Attack For Self Defense

When you fight in a match, you know it very well what you can do and what you cannot do. And you are very sure that what your opponent can or cannot do. There are rules in a fighting competition. Judges are sitting there. If anyone does not follow the rules, he or she will be disqualified. So you are bound to follow the rules and fight in a certain way.

If you are in an MMA fight, there are specific rules for that. If you are in a boxing competition, you will also see specific rules of striking. There are certain parts of the body where you cannot hit. You wear safety guards, mouthguards gloves, and so on. All of these are done for your safety and protection.

When you fight in a competition, that's sports. When you fight on the street, that's for life, meaning, you focus on self-defense and getting out of there alive.

Your opponent can attack you aggressively in a fighting match. The thing to remember is that no matter how aggressive your opponent is, there are always rules in a fighting competition.

How about if someone is aggressive to attack, and there are no rules?

That's what we face in real life. You can get an attack at any time anywhere. Maybe you are in a shopping mall or walking on the street or in a restaurant. You don't know what is going to happen next. There is no referee to stop that. You are on your own.

Someone attacks you with punch or kick, you do not know whether he has any weapon or not. If he pulls out his gun and points at you, the situation will be changed. Or, he has a knife and now he is going to attack with the knife. Or, you do not know what he is capable of doing. He might have some background that puts him in a better position in the fighting.

So never underestimate your opponent. Before the attack, attackers can talk to you in a rough way. If you can stop him right there, and walk away, that's better. You know how to fight does not mean you have to fight. And every situation does not necessarily end up with fighting. You can stop a lot of things before getting into a fight.

If the attacker attacks you, defend that and take control of the situation, see if he has some weapons or not. Your every movement should be in a certain order that works for you. And make sure that the attacker cannot attack you back or if he does, just put him in a more vulnerable position.

You can call the police. They take care of the situation. And you should leave the danger zone as soon as possible.
