Boxing and Wing Chun are two different martial arts. A boxer's punch is very powerful and it can knock anyone out. When boxers fight, their stability can make it difficult for a Wing Chun fighter to attack and defeat them.

Wing Chun is one of the most popular and effective martial arts for self defense. If you want to learn martial arts for self-defense, you can study Wing Chun. A Wing Chun fighter can use her/his speed, power and flexibility and defeat a bigger opponent.
Every martial art has its own strengths and advantages. Which martial art you are going to learn depends on why you want to learn martial arts and your personal preference.
When a boxer moves forward and throws punch, hook, and uppercut in combination, it is difficult to defend. If you face any situation like this, you know what I mean. You think stepping backward would a good option to defend in this situation. The thing is, a boxer can come forward, close the gap and keep punching.
A Wing Chun fighter can use different techniques to deal with this situation. You can defend the punch, move side and attack instantly. When we talk about self-defense, it does not mean someone attacks you and you keep defending yourself. Attacking is the best defense. And you can apply this in certain situations.
Boxers attack with their hands. A Wing Chun fighter can use her/his longest weapon - leg to kick. It can distract a boxer and that's an opportunity for a Wing Chun fighter to make her/his move.
In a fight, a lot of things depend on the practitioner, meaning how good you are at boxing or how good you are at Wing Chun. So, you cannot come to a conclusion from a fight competition which martial art style is better. I respect all martial artists.
So what do you think about Boxing and Wing Chun?
