Kicking Strategy Explained - Michelle Waterson

You can always use your longest weapon - kick in a fight. If you are good at it, your opponent will not able come close to punch you. As soon as he is in kicking range, you just kick him right away. He would not have a chance to throw a punch.

Sidekick is one of the most effective kicks in a fight or self defense. You raise your leg and kick moves forward from the side.

When you do sidekick, you have to understand the distance between you and your opponent. If your opponent is a little bit far than kicking range, you can do sliding sidekick. In a sliding sidekick, your rear leg comes in the place to your front leg and do sidekick.

Having your body balance while doing kicks is really important. If you lose your balance, your opponent can exploit this opportunity and attack you. So always keep your balance.
