How To Defend A Punch, Lock The Attacker’s Hand and Make Him Fall On The Ground

When we talk about self-defense, it is not only defending or blocking the strike, it is also about what you are going to do after defending the strike. So don’t think that self-defense is all about doing parry, block and defending the attack.

Attacking is the best defense based on the situation. If you see that the attacker keeps punching people in front of you and you are next. Do not just wait for him to punch you. You see he is going to punch you regardless of what you say. So be proactive and make your move first.

There are many martial arts in the world. We know the popular martial arts and we are usually familiar with those martial arts that focus on sports. That’s what we see, read in the newspaper or watch on TV. People practice different martial arts and if you study martial arts, you know every martial art has something unique that makes the difference. I love and respect all martial artists.

When the attacker punches you, you can defend that, and grab his hand. You can also lock his hand, and sweep his leg. You will see him on the ground. Now you can put pressure on his neck and hand. In some situations, you can find it very useful because all you want to do is to stop the attacker so that he cannot hurt you and other people.

If you are a security officer or work in a law enforcement agency, you can focus on grabbing, locking and taking the attacker away from the spot. You usually do this in your job. If you know how to do it, you can handle any situation successfully.

So does it work in a fight?

If you are good at it, and you know what you are doing, you can make it work for you. However, if you are not good at it, you cannot make the technique work for you. So it is up to you. Sometimes you see the attacker is very fast and aggressive. You can attack him first, then lock his hand and make him fall on the ground or take him away from there.

Thank you so much for reading this so far.
