Today I will share with you my opinion on Supernatural. I started watching about 7 years ago. I really liked the series from the first episode. Two brothers and friends travel across America in search of the supernatural. With rapture I watched about five seasons, but then I had to watch it seasonally, or better to say - serially.
Naturally, the long break between episodes did not suit me very much and I decided to postpone watching the series until later. I think I'll save up a few seasons and take a look at it. During the same period, news came out that season 15 would be the last. Each season, the intrigue spun like a spring and I was looking forward to the new season.
In the end, it was time to watch the last two seasons. Honestly, there was no particular desire, because I already picked up spoilers then, so I already knew the ending. But overpowering myself, I still started watching. What I want to say. The supernatural did not become a separate story in the sense of the script: with each new season, the plot deteriorated. Yes, there were great separate episodes, but in general, the rating of the series was falling in my eyes. There were more verbal and completely unnecessary dialogues. The series was no longer the action it was at the very beginning. There was already drama and romance here. And the last seasons have disappointed me completely.
The closer I got to the finale, the more often I took up the remote control and squandered uninteresting moments, and there were plenty of them. But all would be fine, but I was finally knocked down by the finale, that is, the denouement of the series. But let's start in order.
In the last season, Sam and Dean, who annoyed God himself, the most powerful person in the entire universe, had to defeat him. For this, even the representatives of hell took their side (they had their own benefit). But even without them, but with the support of the Nephilim, the brothers still finished with God, no matter how ridiculous it may sound.
God in this series is a separate story altogether. In general, I got the impression that the screenwriter is a complete atheist. He portrayed God as a petty, dirty, frivolous creature, unable to answer for his actions. Where this image was taken from is a complete mystery to me. There would be no way to change God, weed out his shortcomings and make him truly omnipotent and forgiving, so he destroys him in the end ...
Okay, let's move on. So, the brothers, albeit with great difficulty and with the help of another great power - the Nephilim, coped with God. Now they have a victory over the most almighty! Let's remember that both Dean and Sam died more than once, but they were resurrected, they fought with other powerful representatives of the Universe: demons, angels and other gods. But they always came out victorious. It doesn't matter what they gave for it, but to defeat such strong opponents and survive is an indicator.
And so I got to the penultimate episode, where everything ends according to the canons of a happy end: the villain is defeated, harmony comes in the world. Everything! Finish the series! But no, the screenwriter comes to the fore again. Instead of ending the series positively, he kills the main character. For what purpose this was done, I still do not understand. But how he killed him ...
Sam and Dean go on an ordinary hunt, the most ordinary, of which they have had more than one hundred. They meet with not the strongest opponent (a small flock of vampires) and at the end of the fight, Dean is pushed against the wall, in which a piece of an iron rod sticks out. Naturally, Dean bumps into him and the pin ends up on the left side of his chest ...
But even here Dean behaves at ease, and it seems to me that he will now take and remove this pin from his body, as he did more than once, but ... Then there are only emotions. Not the most powerful rival (they defeated God himself, killed death and Cain), but they did not escape from the ordinary pack of vampires. I just have one question for the writer: "Why did you have to kill Dean" ??? I can’t do anything except say a sarcastic "Bravo". Thanks to the scriptwriter of the last season for the negative!
