Sajeda Foundation's initiative to deal with Covid–19

Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Civil Surgeon cum Superintendent under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. ASM Maruf Hasan and Assistant Director (Acting) of Pabna 250-bed General Hospital. The agreement was signed at the office of Saleh Muhammad Ali.

According to the agreement, the Sajeda Foundation will provide necessary equipment, logistical support and experienced health workers to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital and Pabna 250-bed General Hospital for two months initially to assist Covid-19 patients in their medical work.

Pabna 250-bed general hospital assistant director (acting) said. Saleh Muhammad Ali said, ‘We are working to increase the medical facilities of Kovid patients as per the directions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Through this agreement with Sajeda Foundation, they will provide nurses, health workers and experienced manpower. Kovid patients who will serve under us
Sajeda Foundation Director (Health) said. Md. Tariqul Islam said, ‘At the beginning of the Kovid epidemic, the Sajeda medical team gained significant experience by treating Kovid positive patients at Sajeda Hospital in Narayanganj and Keraniganj. We will use that experience to address the medical adversity of Pavna and Chuadanga Covid-19

Sajeda Foundation is a non-profit non-governmental organization founded by the late Syed Humayun Kabir. Which is working towards ensuring health and dignity for all. At present, Sajeda Hospital in Keraniganj is operating a 28-bed semi-critical Covid-19 unit with 8 ICUs and central oxygen supply facilities.
They have formed a six-member healthcare team to assist the government in tackling Kovid. Earlier, under an agreement with the Department of Health, it has run a 50-bed Covid-19 dedicated hospital with ICU in Narayanganj. They treated 1,022 Kovid patients free of charge.
