Sun-kissed days and laughter's ring,
Sticky fingers, freedom's swing.
A small hand grips a plastic prize,
The fizz erupts, a sweet surprise.
First taste of joy, a fizzy chime,
Shared amongst friends, transcending time.
Not just a drink, a memory bright,
Of summer warmth and endless light.
But years unfold, and tastes mature,
Beyond the sweet, a different lure.
The childhood charm begins to fade,
Leaving the bottle, half-emptied, shaded.
Yet still, within, a whisper lies,
Of innocence with sparkling eyes.
A bittersweet reminder true,
Of moments lost, the childhood view.
