[Poem] The Amazon

The Amazon, a vast green sea,

Where trees reach to the sky,

Where life abounds in every tree,

And creatures large and small do fly.

 

The Amazon, a treasure trove,

Of plants and animals unknown,

A place of wonder and of love,

That we must all protect and own.

 

The Amazon, a fragile home,

To all its creatures great and small,

We must do all we can to save,

This precious place from harm's way.

 

Let us protect the Amazon,

For it is ours to cherish,

Let us not let it be destroyed,

By greed and by our careless touch.

 

The Amazon, a gift from God,

That we must all preserve,

For future generations to come,

To enjoy and to revere.
