[Poem] The Fragile Flame

rada11219

A day of reflection, a test of our will,

Hunger pangs silenced, standing ever still.

Thoughts turn inward, to values held dear,

Empathy grows, banishing fear.

The sun's descent, a fiery display,

Marking the moment, to break-fast and pray.

A single flame flickers, fragile and bright,

A symbol of hope, in the fading light.

Dates, the first morsel, a taste so divine,

Breaking the fast, with a spirit that's thine.

The table adorned, with love's gentle hand,

A feast to be shared, across the land.

Stories are woven, with laughter and tears,

Families reunited, dispelling all fears.

Iftar's embrace, a gift to hold dear,

Community strengthened, year after year.

May the lessons of Ramadan, forever inspire,

To share with compassion, and set hearts on fire.

For in the breaking of fast, a new light takes hold,

The spirit of Iftar, a story untold.
