A child I was, with eyes that reached the sky,
A million stars, a million reasons why
To search for one, a beacon burning bright,
My guiding light, throughout the darkest night.
Through fields of doubt, and forests filled with fear,
I chased that star, year after fleeting year.
Each fallen leaf, a fading ember's glow,
The promised path, nowhere for me to know.
But as I searched, the world began to bloom,
A tapestry of beauty chased the gloom.
The moonlit path, the firefly's soft light,
Weaving a magic in the fading night.
And though the star I sought may never shine,
A thousand wonders now my journey define.
For in the searching, lessons learned unfurl,
The greatest treasures found within this world.
