[Poem] The Dates and the Drums

rada11219

Dates, a sweet greeting, before the first light,

A taste of renewal, setting things right.

The call to prayer echoes, a rhythmic refrain,

A reminder of faith, washing away the pain.

Families gather, for Suhoor's warm glow,

Sharing stories and laughter, as the moments flow.

Fasting begins, a test of our soul,

Strengthening purpose, making us whole.

Days filled with prayers, contemplation's embrace,

Quran's wisdom revealed, lighting our space.

The rhythm of life slows, with a mindful decree,

Appreciating blessings, for all that we see.

As the sun dips low, and drums beat with glee,

Iftar's bounty arrives, a joyous decree.

Sharing and feasting, with loved ones so near,

Ramadan's magic, dispelling all fear.

Days turn to weeks, the spirit takes flight,

Charity given, with hearts full of light.

As Eid approaches, a crescent moon's gleam,

Ramadan's lessons forever will stream.
