A Function in School

It is very important for every schools and college every year. Time for the function: The prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on Saturday, June 25th this year before summer vacation. It was held on the established day of our school. Preparations: We started preparing for it from the second week of June. M. K. Roy the cultural in charge. Of the school look every care to see that the function was a success. Many attractive items were selected for the variety show. Senior students arranged a one-act play. Jikir, Buji, dance all these were rehearsed in the school auditorium. The chief guest and other invitees: Invitation card was issued to all guardians and distinguished persons of the area. The ex-students were also invited by our student's union body. The Deputy Commissioner of our district was invited as the chief guest. Decorates: On the appointed day we come to the auditorium at 11 a.m. Our principal, vice -principal, and all the teachers were present. They come to see the arrangements. The hall was nicely decorated by flowers and garlands. The auditorium was divided into three rows-carpets for students in front. Chairs and benches for ladies and girls. Reception of the chief guest: we all stood in rows at the gate with our teachers to receive D.C. Punctually attended the meeting. It began at 1. p.m. with inaugural songs sung by a group of students. Price giving: The cultural secretary of our school read the names of the prize winners the president handed over the prize to them. Conclusion: Our principal thanked all the guardians, teachers and students for the success of the meeting. Then ended the prize giving ceremony at our school.
