[History]: The splendor of Cambodia's cultural heritage

Today we will talk about the art of Cambodia. My interest in this country was instilled in me by my mother, who always told me and showed me the temples of ancient Cambodia. They just turned my mind away from the beauty and architecture. I have always had a question, how could ancient people build such perfection without different construction machines? This is amazing!

Until now, one of the most popular and rare books on art in the post - Soviet space is the book by N. I. Rybakova "The Art of Cambodia". Of course, I have this book! Publishing house in 1977. In small details, the author describes all the magnificent buildings and the history of Cambodia. Who hasn't read it, I highly recommend it. It is a pity that Serey writes little about the history, culture and art of Cambodia. After all, this is a country with a great historical and cultural heritage. It would be interesting for me to read the modern view of this country on its history. I would also very much like to learn the news of the archeology of Cambodia. After all, something new is constantly being found and new facts from history appear. Last year I read an article that large fragments of statues were found near the eastern wall of the Bayon Temple. I was very interested! The Khmer Times reported that these are statues that represent the creator of the world. Archaeologist Chhuk Somala says that the fragments found were parts of one giant composition about the creation of the world.

I will show you photos of magical apsaras from Rybakova's book. They have always fascinated me with their mythical grace and the wonders of their creation. Whipping up the Milky Ocean, amazing miracles appeared, including apsaras.

A special place in the sculpture of Cambodia is occupied by the art of portraiture that emerged in the XIII century. Art historians first of all necessarily consider and study the birth of a portrait in Cambodia. I like to look at the sculptural compositions of apsaras. Their faces are with different emotions and the grace of body shapes. All sculptures are very dynamic and this is a great value in art.

Here are some sculptural compositions from the magnificent Angkor Wat temple. In the photo at the end of the post, you can see this temple. King Suryavarman II is erecting one of the largest religious buildings ever created. It impresses with its architectural ensembles. But it was in this post that I highlighted the photos of heavenly dancers-apsaras. Look at their faces-they are incredibly perfect and emotional.

Relief in Khmer art is a favorite type of presentation that has deep ancient roots. The relief was born from wood carving, and then it was already transferred to stone. To convey your story and bring the stones to life with it, to breathe into them the world of your consciousness and love - this is simply aerobatics in the world of art and culture. The reliefs of Angkor Wat have become a kind of chronicle. Such relief surveys, architectural structures, could only be created by people with very deep awareness and love

It is very interesting that many modern architects consider the construction of the Angkor Wat temple to be the most mysterious, and the technology is lost. Angkor Wat, in their opinion, is the only temple in the world that was built from top to bottom. I don't understand it, it's just incredible! До сих пор одна из популярных и редких книг по искусству на постсоветском пространстве - это книга Рыбаковой Н.И. "Искусство Камбоджи". Конечно, у меня есть эта книга! Издательство 1977 года. В мелких деталях автор описывает все великолепные строения и историю Камбоджи. Кто не читал, очень советую. Очень жаль, что на Serey пишут мало об истории, культуре и искусстве Камбоджи. Ведь это страна с большим историческим и культурным наследием. Мне было бы интересно читать взгляд современности этой страны на свою историю. Также очень бы хотелось узнавать новости археологии Камбоджи. Ведь постоянно что-то новое находят и появляются новые факты из истории. В прошлом году читал статью, что у восточной стены храма Байон нашли крупные фрагменты статуй. Мне очень было интересно! The Khmer Times сообщила, что это статуи, которые отображают создателя мира. Археолога Чхук Сомала говорит, что найденные фрагменты были частями одной гигантской композиции о создании мира.

Особое место в скульптуре Камбоджи занимает возникшее в XIII веке искусство портрета. Искусствоведы первым делом обязательно рассматривают и изучают рождение портрета именно в Камбоджи. Люблю рассматривать скульптурные композиции апсар. Их лица с разными эмоциями и грацией форм тела. Все скульптуры очень динамичны и это большая ценность в искусстве.

Перед вами некоторые скульптурные композиции из великолепного храма Ангкор–Ват. На фотографии в конце поста вы можете увидеть этот храм. Король Сурьяварман II возводит один из крупнейших когда-либо созданных культовых сооружений. Он потрясает своими архитектурными ансамблями. Но я именно в этом посте выделил фото небесных танцовщиц - апсар. Всмотритесь в их лица - они невероятно идеальны и эмоциональны.

Рельеф в кхмерском искусстве — излюбленный вид изложения, имеющий глубокие древние корни. Рельеф родился из резьбы по дереву, а дальше уже был перенесен и на камень. Передать свою историю и оживить ею камни, вдохнуть в них мир своего сознания и любви - это просто высший пилотаж в мире искусства и культуры. Рельефы Ангкор-Вата стали своеобразной летописью. Такие рельефные изыскания, архитектурные строения, могли создать только люди с очень глубоким осознанием и любовью.

Очень интересно то, что многие современные архитекторы считают строительство храма Ангкор Ват самым загадочным, а технологию утерянной. Ангкор Ват, по их мнению, единственный храм в мире, который строился сверху вниз. Мне это не понять, просто невероятно! Думаю, что в скором времени я окажусь в Камбоджи, настоящие мечты всегда сбываются! Благодарю за внимание!
