Many tourists visit one of the magnificent temples of Cambodia, Bayon, in the early morning ... Bayon is the latest temple in Angkor (1181-1218). The construction took place during the reign of Jayavarman VII, the last great king of Cambodia. The Temple of a thousand faces is unlike any other Khmer temple. The greatness of architecture, sculptures, relief paintings that you have seen will remain in your memory forever! The temple was preserved much better than others, the jungle was favorable to Bayon. This is a very unusual temple in all respects. The history of Bayon and its construction were connected with the conversion of Jayavarman VII to Buddhism. The cult of the god-king in these buildings turns into the apotheosis of royal greatness.
Already on the approach to the temple complex, you are greeted by gods and demons lined up in even rows on the bridge over the canal, amazing faces of calm gods, not at all terrible faces of deceived asura demons, who together with the gods "churned" the milky ocean to get ambrosia.
The galleries of the first and second tiers lead to the towers. There are 52 of them, which corresponds to the number of weeks in the year.
And in the distance, the faces of the ruler are already visible, forever looking in four directions, protruding from the seemingly disorderly pile of stones that complete the Bayon temple. You can immediately believe what they write about in science fiction novels about the ancient ancestors of mankind, who moved around the world on their flying ships. The faces smile slightly at the corners of their lips, making them feel very small.
Below, the temple was surrounded by a gallery of reliefs on stone. The wall depicts the ordinary life of people: there they read fortunes by hand, served drinks in a pub, fried shish kebab, watched cockfights. All the scenes of the daily life of the Khmer says that you can not fight, you can not shed blood. You need to live and enjoy everything that is around! The image of the rice harvest festival gives an extraordinary warmth and cordiality! There are also scenes of the war with the tyams (they are there with longer hair). The Khmers won, and the enemies were drowned (and one even before your eyes has been eating a crocodile for many centuries).
All the pictures of peace and war in Bayonne are the juxtaposition of good and evil. The life of people is so beautifully shown that it is possible to say exactly how a Khmer man lived in distant times. Sculptors, artists very vividly convey all the colors of the world, even in small things. This is a completely new stage in the art of the Khmer people. The colorfulness with which the Khmer masters convey the existence of their people is truly amazing! A large number of animals, birds, fish, plants, forests and rivers, mountains and fields make up the natural everyday life in all colors. It seemed that the pressure of life was held back for a long time and now, it broke out and beats with a key. All this, without any conditionality and regulation, was arranged in paintings on the Bayon temple.
The work of the restorers deserves the highest praise! Preserving the values of the nation is a wonderful tradition in the world.
Очень многие туристы посещают один из великолепных храмов Камбоджи Байон именно ранним утром… Байон – самый поздний храм в Ангкор (1181-1218). А вдали уже видны вечно смотрящие в четыре стороны лики правителя, выступающие из, казалось бы, беспорядочного нагромождения камней, которые завершают храм Байон. Можно сразу поверить в то, о чем пишут в фантастических романах о древних прародителях человечества, которые перемещались по миру на своих летающих кораблях. Лики слегка улыбаются уголками губ, заставляя почувствовать себя очень маленькими.
Внизу храм опоясывала галерея рельефов на камне. На стене изображена обычная жизнь людей: там гадали по руке, разносили напитки в пивной, жарили шашлык, смотрели петушиные бои. Все сцены повседневной жизни кхмеров говорит о том, что нельзя воевать, нельзя проливать кровь. Нужно жить и радоваться всему, что есть вокруг! Изображение праздника урожая риса дает необычайную теплоту и душевность! Там же изображены сцены войны с тямами (они там с более длинными волосами). Кхмеры победили, а врагов утопили (а одного даже на ваших глазах много веков кушает крокодил). Все картины мира и войны в Байоне – это противопоставление добра и зла. Настолько красиво показана жизнь людей, что можно точно сказать, как жил в далекие времена кхмерский человек. Скульпторы, художники очень ярко передают все краски мира даже в мелочах. Это совершенно новый виток в искусстве кхмерского народа. Красочность, с которой передают кхмерские мастера бытие своего народа, поистине поражает воображение! Большое количество животных, птиц, рыб, растений, лесов и рек, гор и полей составляет естественную повседневную жизнь во всех красках. Казалось, что напор жизни долго сдерживали и вот, он вырвался наружу и бьет ключом. Всё это без всякой условности и регламентации расположилось картинами на храме Байон.
Обязательно сфотографируйте храм с дальнего расстояния (ракурс должен подсказать гид), затем посмотрите на камбоджийские деньги.
Работа реставраторов заслуживает наивысших похвал! Сохранять ценности нации – это прекрасная традиция в мире.
